Frequently Asked Questions

We cover so much in the initial tour. We know it can be hard to remember everything. We decided to list some of the most commonly asked questions about the venue and our policies.  We want the planning process to be as painless as possible. How many guests does the venue hold?

Inside the barn we have 170 chairs. If its a reception only inside you could bring more chairs in and fit around 200 guests.

What type of tables do you have (shape, size)?

Currently, we offer 4, 60” round tables and 30, 6' long rectangle tables at no additional charge.

How long do we have at the venue? 

Everyone is welcome from 8:00am til 12:00am. 

How many restrooms are there?

1 men and 1 women. 

If planning an outdoor wedding: Is there a backup plan for rain?

In case inclement weather, you would move ceremony inside the barn.

Are children allowed?

 

Yes, although we do not offer any child care during the events. Most couples provide entertainment or a sitter during the event.

 

Can the venue accommodate a DJ or live band? 

We welcome DJ’s and live bands.

Do you have a sound system with speakers, or will that need to be rented? 

We offer a small sound system with your rental of the barn.

Do you have a microphone?

We do offer a microphone to use with our sound system equipment.

Can I hook an iPod, Iphone or laptop up to your sound system?

Absolutely! Customize your event by providing your music favorites.

Is there a required/preferred vendor list ? Can we use other vendors?

You are welcome to bring in the caterers of your choice or even self cater. We do have a list of well known caterers here.

Are tables, linens & chairs provided?

We offer tables and chairs. Table linens are available to rent through Windy Hill Weddings. 

What about rehearsal dinner?

We offer a package called the weekend package just for this reason! It is very common for wedding parties to want to use the barn for rehearsal dinner the evening before. One day can be used to decorate and rehearse and the other for your wedding followed up by Sunday morning for clean up.

When can we get access to the space to decorate/set up?

It depends on which package you selected on the time you get.

Is there an area to get ready in?

Yes, Cedar Tree Barn offers separate dressing quarters. The bride and groom each have their own.

Can the wedding party get ready at the venue?

Yes! There’s plenty of room for everyone!

Are candles allowed?

Yes! They just need to be contained, there should not be any open flame. For example inside a mason jar.

Do you have wifi?

At this time, we do not offer wifi. 

Are you easy to find?

Do you have places for us to take wedding pictures?

We have numerous photo opportunities as well as landscaping and backgrounds to capture those special moments.
